Our Story
The Brand
Mermaid Club Hawaii was born from a love affair with Hawaii. Mornings chasing waves. Afternoons under swaying palms. Golden-hour light that makes life feel vibrant. We’re a brand rooted in the islands—the rhythm of Hawaiian life, its warmth, and the magic of the surrounding ocean.
We started Mermaid Club for the women who feel most like themselves in the Ocean, the ones who love Hawaii as we do, and the ones who love colors more than blending in.
The Art
Illustration is at Mermaid Club Hawaii’s core. Our tees and tanks are canvases—each features an original design inspired by the people, creatures, plants, and spirit of Hawaii. The style draws on bold 70s graphics: block print, tribal patterns, linocut textures. Raw edges and strong lines are softened by color—lots and lots of color.
We embrace rainbows. Pastels collide with saturated brights, creating unexpected combinations that feel just right. The result: wearable art that’s joyful, bold, and unmistakably island.
We’re focused for now: illustrated T-shirts and tank tops, crafted with care and intention. Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can wear is a great tee with a story.
The Woman Behind the Brand
I’m Eva. I’ve spent my life designing—architecture, interiors, photographs, jewelry, art. Different media, same obsession: finding beauty and giving it shape.
I’ve lived all over the globe before making Maui my home over fifteen years ago. The island has since woven itself into everything I create. I own a jewelry brand rooted right here on Maui, and between designing, photographing, and dreaming up new ideas, you’ll most likely find me in the ocean, my happy place.
